"Bliss, Beyond Joy"

I contemplate how a state of bliss involves a sense of peace as well as exuberant joy. There is "sthira" or inner stillness that comes with this. Bliss involves a deep contentment in simply BEing, with inner rejoicing that is boundless in expression and simply radiates. But by all means, we should express our bliss in harmonious ways with self and others.
A Blissful Life is Possible
It is possible because "our experience of life happens from within us", as Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev reminds us. We have personal powers of memory, imagination, and embodied awareness in the present to craft our response and navigate the daily tides of our life. If we want to be blissful we can be! It is more a choice than something to achieve; it is a state of heart and mind. In practical ways, there are things we must tend to with daily, tangible tasks in the real world so that we can be physically secure and nourished in order to be emotionally and mentally peaceful but beneath, above, and through all this there is our conscious awareness of experience and perhaps bliss resides here. Ultimately, we choose our perspective on and attitude to our life-experience and life-at-large.
Look for the Bare Necessities

'Look for the bare necessities. The simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your strife.' ("The Bare Necessities", jazz song by Terry Gilkyson)
I can hear Baloo the bear singing the line above in the 1967 Walt Disney movie of "The Jungle Book". Phil Harris was the singer who immortalised this joyful rendition. This song floats about in my memory and resurfaces every now and again to lift me up and help me focus on the most important things in life.
I am shaking off a lot of human-created dogma to trust my body's faithful senses and feeling and cultivate a clear, quiet mind, an open, receptive heart, and an uplifted spirit in full flight.
When I think about my children who are making their way in the world, I have to trust that I have done all I could do within my limits along the way, to give each of them wings to soar with deep trust in life and an uplifted sense-of-self as part of it all. The nest I always keep in my heart for them is something I continue to tend to. And I have to tend to my personal life-care for my ongoing blissful experience of life, and to be a safe port in the storm when life is rough (if need be) for as long as I live. This is my devotion.
Devotion to the essential things is a simple, sophisticated matter of Nature. It only requires presence, direct attention, conscious awareness without the "concrete" of conclusions, and adaptability. It requires listening, hearing, and offering experiential reassurance. Most importantly, it requires spirit and love.
"We may not choose the state of our body but we always choose our attitude."
Come Back to Our Senses
Conscious awareness means to be in our senses and feeling but not be ruled by them. However, we need to trust our faithful physical senses and feeling-capacity as our unbiased barometer of what is good and not good for us personally.
When our body shows us dis-ease, do we listen? Clearly, our body is our life-long instrument for living; our body being well is the most important thing because it houses and carries our heart's life-spirit and our mind's love. Our body enables us to have a sensory experience of our Earth for a while. But do we give our own body daily, essential, holistic care of body, mind, and heart?
As we grow and mature, we become responsible for our own body, what we use our daily life-time for, how we treat other people, and how we treat our Earth that upholds us all.
"PEACE. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." (Unknown)
Self-Empowered, Naturally, in Simple Daily Ways of Well-being
We are all self-empowered with what we choose to take into our body, how we affect our digestion, and how we use our energy. No-one else truly animates us from within. Our own mind is our domain and personal instrument to use FOR our life not against our life. We have only to value our own nature and creative life-opportunity and take charge of our own well-being. We are navigating and crafting our individual experience of life. We are each the "captain of our own ship"!
Our young people require us as parents to be established in our valued sense-of-self with deep roots of spirit and love and devoted purpose. They need us to show leadership of a deep faith in Life and Nature with empowered creative intelligence that is unstoppable in its common creation of harmony and flourishing. This requires individual harmony and flourishing to add to collective harmony and flourishing, always in the context of wholeness which requires inclusion, support, and expansive grace (that always knows there is enough for everyone - as long as we cycle around and share our abundance with others - diversity within wholeness is the dharmic wisdom of a self-supporting humanity). And so within family, we must uphold and nourish the wisdom of diversity within the wholeness of our family. Mother Nature is deeply intelligent and wise beyond human fathoming and Life Spirit animates us all. It is up to mothers to include and nourish new life-and-nature, and up to fathers to secure and protect new life-and-nature. Of course, we can swap roles according to our individual nature, competency, and devotion but these roles must be fulfilled in order for our family to flourish. Parents have to honour each other's sacred roles and work in respectful partnership with inner harmony and cooperation to nourish each of our children as an equally valuable part of our family's abundance of natural gifts and strengths. Spirit and Nature must be nurtured and given wings to fly.
I am a Mother-HeartAndMind. My offering of healing service is my dharmic work. I am honoured to support you in your inner work and daily-life-practice; for understanding, compassion, and self-empowerment so you have the conscious awareness and choice to live your most blissful life. For all intents and purposes, our humanity is in life together! We can support self and others according to our nature using our natural gifts and strengths.
What is handed to you by your ancestry through your genetics and early environment? What patterns are gifts and challenges? What belongs to you personally through your nature and life-experience? What comes naturally through you? What are your natural gifts and strengths? Do you value what is within you to give? What is your inner spirit-power, love, and purpose?
We consider these questions and more in-session to support your self-awareness and self-leadership.
