Inner Housekeeping

It is painful to live our life for someone else's purpose, expectation, or desire; especially if the way we do this goes against our nature, or denies what is gifted through us with strength, or prevents us doing what truly matters to us.

Inner conflict can happen early on in family - or be an ancestral pattern of active conditioning (karma) that we must personally evolve and refine and come to harmony within ourself.

I have found that self-awareness empowers self-leadership (which is self-responsibility). It is empowering to be aware of ourself and what we choose for our own life so we can create and craft our daily experience with truth, love, and discernment. Through self-awareness, we become conscious that we are the leader of our own life and that the daily choice is ours to live in harmony or at a discord with our own body, mind, and heart; supported by Life-Spirit in Nature that upholds us all.

If we choose to see all of Life in Nature as sacred, and that we are one sacred expression of this interconnected Life in Nature, then we are internally free, trusting our own embodied intelligence to live within the natural laws that we are all bound by on our sacred, beautiful Earth.

This past weekend was a time for both gathering and celebrating life with my family, and turning within to reflect and tend to my inner housekeeping. I made space on Sunday and spent a few minutes of quiet time in personal reflection not avoiding difficult memories, thoughts, and feelings that are surfacing for me right now.

Our garden is a lovely place to be in Nature and absorb the sights, sounds, textures, and smells within that space. I felt cocooned and held while I sat in the sunshine and took pause to keep myself in context and quietly notice without judgement. The Shravana full moon in Capricorn was a perfect time for listening within to my heart. Sound vibration is key and offers simple clarity. Vedic mantra and other sacred song is lovely to hum to ourself using our own voice to sound words of healing vibration. Where is my inspiration and energy lacking? What do I need to give and receive? Am I hindering myself and why? What is important for me to continue to nurture? These are some of the questions I asked my awareness. I gave myself inner space to notice what I needed to "clean out" or "spruce up". We are nearing a rebirthing time of Spring here in Victoria, Australia in the southern hemisphere, so I feel it was good time to notice and cultivate richness and beauty within my inner landscape of elements before I plant new "seeds" to grow and flourish with my inner tending.

Inner housekeeping is a personal work that only we can do for ourself; each "aware" nature being different and requiring tending with understanding and kindness to support our inner harmony.

Is this for Well-Being?

... is the only question we ever really need to ask and discern the answer to for individual and collective clarity. Each and every day, every moment, we can quietly pay direct attention, feel with all our senses, and know what is good or not good for us in that moment. And each moment, each day, accumulates into our life-time.

My need for self-awareness began when I became a mother to my beautiful son and first child (pictured in the photo). My deep self-doubt and inner conflict, and my son's elusive digestive problems and behavioural challenges set me back on my nature's path to understand and know what is kind for different natures of people ... an innocent child was my perfect motivation for deep self-responsibility as a mother, self-care to be able to sustain my best quality of care to give, and care of my child's sacred nature as distinct from my own.

Our mind with capacity for sharp intellect was never meant to be used in disconnection from our embodied, whole-body intelligence, inner ancestral knowing, and our mind's capacity for love. We do not need to clutter our mind with unnecessary information and ideas that do not belong to us; especially those that we hold onto within our waters that are at a discord with our individual integrity and natural truth, love, and purpose.

What does it mean to walk in my integrity? What is true for my body and being? What do I find nourishing and loving? What do I feel is truly worthwhile and ignites purpose for my life in a very essential, natural way for me? These questions and their answers clarify what I need for my individual well-being.

A broadening awareness of reality and my lived experience show me that what is healing for one nature may be harmful to another, so I support and encourage others to discern what is for their well-being. This is forever and always in the context of our human Nature and movement of Life being upheld and nourished by our great Mother Earth. Natural, wholefoods and clean water are our common sustenance. Anything other than these belong to our human desire and creative intelligence or lack thereof. We definitely have the capacity to choose our sacred-life-way of personal balance and inner harmony.

Is this for well-being? What do I choose for myself, and why? What do I support for my child who I am still responsible for (not yet self-sufficient)? What do I encourage for others?
