Input, Digestion, Use of Energy

We are all self-empowered, naturally, with what we take into ourselves, how we affect our digestion, and how we use our energy.


Our whole embodied nature gives us constant feedback to clearly show us what is good or not good for us, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We are naturally equipped with five senses, instinct, thought, feeling, memory, imagination, vitality, intellect, sensory care, courage, awareness, commitment, compulsion, resistance. We have everything we need within us to gauge what supports our well-being.





Input

Choose to nourish yourself with natural, wholefoods of the best quality that you can afford. Prepare and cook your food so you can enjoy close daily connection with Nature and maximise healing through all senses. Choose seasonal and organic food at every opportunity. Grow what you can, even if it is a small pot of herbs; it is much more economical to eat this way too.


Digestion

Sit quietly to eat with gratitude and reverence for the food and drink that is available to you. This helps your digestion and makes you mindful of healthy quantity. Eat a serving size that is less than your own cupped hands placed together. This leaves room for your stomach to digest what you eat. Drink a cup of water with lemon or ginger root 20 minutes before your meal to raise digestive fire and help metabolise what you eat. Include all six tastes in your heaviest meal of the day (sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, astringent).


Energy

Check-in daily with what stirs your heart and makes you feel joy. Be focused with devotion to take action on what is needed as well as what feels purposeful and meaningful to you. It is important to recognise what a productive use of your energy feels like to you. To do this is life-generating and life-sustaining from within, giving personal power, motivation, and direction for your use of life-energy (with each day accumulating into your life-time - your personal sensory experience of life on Earth). It is good to see life this way and use it as the creative opportunity that it is! What experiences do you want to choose and create? What do you want to use your life-time for? Your life belongs to you and you choose how you spend it! You are the leader of your own life and it is what you make of it!
