On sensitivity ...

It is important to consider who we are in our wholeness and remember that we are one part of the whole. It is important to appreciate nature's wisdom to embody human nature with diverse strengths and skills needed for creating a balanced life. Our two most valuable capacities as human nature are that we can feel deeply and be consciously aware of ourselves and what we do; these give us choice. And it is important to remember that we are much more than our mind and not reduce our self to one aspect of our nature. We are each a complete life and one expression of nature with purpose and beauty to express and share if we so choose.

It is worthwhile cultivating a deep and joyful sense-of-self to support our resilience and inner harmony. The heart of our health requires us to think of our self in both factual and positive terms. I am a gentle, strong, highly sensitive, creative person and my three children are also in their individual ways. My husband is a gentle, deeply intelligent, skilful, and gracious man. And naturally, we all have our weaknesses and challenges as well. Our family has experienced difficult digestive issues and challenges with mind and feeling as our children have grown. The specific combination of sensitivity, talent, and personal power has been our teacher. As life flows on there are always challenges, and we broach these and work through them as best we can from within our hearts as the people we are, individually and together as family. I treasure my family and the beautiful strengths and gifts we share. I treasure motherhood and know the depth and influence of this role. I value my husband's partnership and role as a father. Family well-being is truly a team effort! Nourishing diversity within the wholeness of family is a conscious creation. Intention followed by action creates an uncomplicated, balanced life.

As our children have grown, we encourage and support them to trust their nature and choose what they feel is best for their life. Every person must have the autonomy to live the way they feel is best for them. But when my children were young my intellect, instinct, and deep inner knowing as a mother was to do everything I could do naturally to support our holistic well-being, recognising that everything is connected in life and has ongoing cause and effect; what the Vedic wisdom tradition and healing system calls "karma" (action) to create an outcome within the field of time. Becoming self-aware and choosing necessary action to create a desired outcome have been my inspirations for many years as the leader of my own life, as a life-partner cooperating with my lovely husband to craft our life together, and most importantly, as a mother, protector, and nurturer of my three beautiful children. The Vedic healing system has been my practical, compassionate friend for a self-empowered life of well-being and self-expression.

Our youngest child is naturally growing into her own expression as a life in her own right in her own time. And our two older children are quietly courageous individuals crafting their lives while choosing special partners who add to our family treasure chest of nature and spirit. We are grateful for these five precious young people and the individuality they each add to the richness of our life.

I will always be a mother force in life. My path of devotion flowing forward is to share what I find healing and helpful with other mothers and their children who would like to know for their holistic well-being using body, breath, awareness, and nature. I care about how our children feel about life, and how self-empowered they are to choose their well-being.

If you or your child seeks meaning and purpose, feels ongoing self-doubt, finds it hard to voice what you need, or experiences health issues with sensitivity, you are welcome to contact me to see if my service can be of help. I offer a gentle, structured process that is conversation-based called "Self-Empowered, Naturally" using Ayurveda with Jyotish frameworks. This system provides holistic understanding of your digestive type, energetic nature, and deeper mental, emotional, and spiritual nature. The Vedic system objectively observes patterns of nature which help us know individual needs, and what brings balance according to natural law which we are all bound. Importantly, it shines a light on strengths, skills, and family patterns. I have been fortunate to discover, learn, and use these tools since 2004, and continue to experience the power of food as medicine and behavioural practice for creating a life of nourishment, meaning, and purpose naturally.

You will find me in the nest at Blue Sparrow Ayurveda online. You are welcome to email me to discuss services, and subscribe to my free twice-monthly newsletter for Ayurveda with Jyotish notes for mother and family well-being. I also provide educational material on the website, short workshops, and am happy to speak at group events. This service is available both onsite and online via Zoom, making it accessible to mothers and their children around our world, time zones permitting.

With kindness,

Didileia
